A car park in silo

  • Client: EFFIA
  • Prime Contractor and Works Management: AREP, BETEREM (civil engineering component)
  • Program: capacity : 880 spaces / total surface area : 20 000 m²
The Claimarais car park near Reims mainline station is one of several programmes linked to the launch of TGV Est high-speed rail services in 2007 and to the development of a new neighbourhood comprising offices and housing, other buildings and green spaces.

Its combination of mineral and metal architecture, designed to echo that of the station itself, features sun screens made from a cement-fibre glass composite material and stainless steel sheeting perforated in a "rose-window" design.
