Shanghai-Paris, Living the rail station experience, a photography exhibition organized by SNCF Gares & Connexions - AREP, launches on 12th April 2018 at the Bibliothèque François Mitterand station, in Paris. Gares & Connexions, its Chinese counterpart Shanghai Metro, and AREP have put on two exhibitions with a common theme as part of the cultural partnership between Shanghai and Paris.

The first exhibition was staged in December 2017 at the Nanjing East station in Shanghai and showcased everyday life scenes from the Parisian train stations. Now it's time for Parisians to discover the urban culture and landscapes of the Shanghai metro and to be carried away by this cultural experience through landscapes, memories and images. AREP has been operating in China for more than 15 years and has designed several metro stations and transport hubs, including Shanghai South railway station and Beijing's new interchange hub.

The exhibition will be launched in the presence of:
  • His Excellency, Mr Zhai Jun, the ambassador of China in France;
  •  a delegation of the Shanghai Metro headed by Mr Weihua Gu, CEO of Shanghai Shentong Metro Group Co., Ltd.;
  • Mr Buon Tan, Paris MP;• Mr Axel Cruau, the Consul General of France in Shanghai;
  • Agnès Romatet-Espagne, Deputy Managing Director - International SNCF
  • Mr Patrick Ropert, CEO of SNCF Gares & Connexions;
  • Mr Etienne Tricaud, Chairman of AREP
