AREP has been appointed as the 25th member of UITP's Transport and Urban Life commission, which held its second meeting this year on 18 and 19 September 2017, in Casablanca, Morocco, at the invitation of the Moroccan Ministry of the Interior, Casa Dev (Casablanca's development corporation), and Casa Transports.

François Pradillon, International Relations director, and Andreas Heym, Director of AREP Morocco, explained how some AREP projects and studies could provide further food for thought for the commission.

UITP has 1,400 members, including public transport authorities and operators, policy decision-makers, and representatives of large urban areas and regions from 96 countries. The Transport and Urban Life commission provides a platform for analysing and comparing global good practices in Transport-Oriented Development (TOD).
