The redevelopment of the Etangs Gobert area is part of a wider project aiming to develop the Versailles-Chantiers multimodal hub.
A new thoroughfare will link Saint-Louis district to the station, thus improving access to the transport hub. The emerging urban landscape builds upon the key elements of the site which is in direct visual contact with the Château de Versailles and needs, therefore, special attention. The area features several major elements, such as Place des Francine, the two ponds and the future coach station fringed by the railway station.
