AREP DESIGNS A RESILIENT AND SUSTAINABLE CITY BETWEEN THE OCEAN AND THE DESERT

Share news
AREP won the international competition for the design of the new city of Foum El Oued at the edge of the Sahara.

Designed as a knowledge ecosystem, the new city fosters the sustainable management of natural resources, biosaline agriculture within an arid area, green construction, and sustainable energy sources. It embodies environmental standards and stands humbly amidst stiff winds, the sand, and the ocean.
AREP Ville works hand in hand with Franck Boutté Consultants and AREP Environnement for this project.
