AREP JOINS THE UITP DESIGN AND CULTURE COMMISSION

The UITP Design and Culture international commission met in Vienna on 1 and 2 March 2018 to discuss the latest developments in The UITP Design and Culture international commission met in Vienna on 1 and 2 March 2018 to discuss the latest developments in 
passenger services design, information systems and rolling stock design, as well as the strategies developed for the future 
transportation programmes in Montreal, Moscow and Brussels.François Pradillon, director of institutional relations for AREP Group, 
and Etienne Riot, head of AREP Desighlab, presented the projects and research carried out by AREP and its Designlab.

In Vienna, the commission also reviewed the Fair Stations project. Launched by the European Union, the project assesses the state-
of-the-art user flow modelling with the aim to improve accessibility design.
The first conclusions are expected in 2019.The UITP Design and Culture commission brings together designers, public transport operators from around the world and players of the public transport supply and service industry, all of whom are involved in the design of passenger areas, mobility services, rolling stock, and station equipment.
