LORIENT BRETAGNE SUD STATION PREPARING THE ARRIVAL OF BRETAGNE-PAYS DE LOIRE HIGH SPEED RAIL LINE
The Lorient multimodal transport hub, which has been under construction for the past two years, is nearing completion. All the main infrastructure of the multimodal hub has been set, i.e.:
- The new station building, which alludes to the city’s shipbuilding tradition and evokes a ship with its curved flare running along Triskell Road to the south,
- The timber footbridge spanning the tracks to the north and the access points on piles, the platform shelters and the interurban bus station to the east,
The finishings, the floor covering of the station, the external spaces, the layout of the platforms and the access to the footbridge are to be completed by 17 May 2017, the date of the inauguration of the multi-modal transport hub.
